A police manhunt on the north side of campus for suspects connected to an armed robbery ended in arrests of two juveniles late Monday night.
UC police said no shots were fired in the armed robbery or ensuing pursuit of suspects, though several students reported that they heard there were shots.
Both UC and Berkeley police responded to reports of an armed robbery that took place around 10 p.m. near Haviland Hall.
UCPD Lt. Douglas Wing said an officer identified two people who matched the description the victim gave to police.
Police reported the victim of the robbery sustained minor injuries.
Wing said that officers were able to recover most of the victim’s belongings, which included a backpack and its contents, as well as a BB gun that police suspect belonged to one of the suspects.
Police arrested one of the suspects by Cory Hall, Wing said. The other suspect escaped, but was apprehended at the intersection of Gayley Road and University Drive across from the Greek Theatre.
