March 1 Day of Action yields low turnout

UC Berkeley students and other community members took part in a national Day of Action Thursday that garnered significantly less participation than the large-scale Occupy Cal protests of last November. The day’s protest in support of public education began with small campus demonstrations and culminated in a march through Oakland.

Robotics Competition at Berkeley

On Saturday, February 25th, Tau Beta Pi (engineering honor society) and PiE (Pioneers in Engineering) hosted a robotics competition at Berkeley for high school students from around the area. It’s a seven-week program in which Cal engineering students teach and equip high school students with the skills needed in engineering.
