After two disheartening losses to Harvard at home and one on the road at UCLA, the Bears won a hard-fought 72-64 against USC on Saturday night.


Sonny Dykes to be next Cal football head coach

On Wednesday, Cal officially hired Louisiana Tech head coach Sonny Dykes, known for his high-octane spread offenses, to lead the football team. As the 33rd coach in Cal program history, Dykes will take over for Jeff Tedford, who was fired Nov. 20 after a 3-9 campaign this season. Read more

Cal vs OSU

Bears travelled to Oregon State University to play the Beavers Saturday evening for their final game of the football season. Final score is 14-62, leaving the bears with a 3-9 record for 2012 football season.

The 115th Big Game marked the 30th anniversary of The Play. The game resulted in a 21-3 Cal loss at home. Stanford retains possession of the Axe until next year.
