Reported rapes in Berkeley nearly double in 2012

The number of reported rapes in Berkeley spiked in 2012, nearly doubling 2011’s total. Crime statistics from 2012, presented by Berkeley police officers to the City Council in a special workshop last Tuesday, show a rise in reported rapes from 20 in 2011 to 39 in 2012. Read More…
