Court sentences shooting suspect to more than 20 years

Jamall Tousant was found guilty Friday on multiple assault and gun charges after a two-week trial and sentenced to “20+” years, the alert said. BPD had arrested Tousant in October 2015 at his Alameda residence, after obtaining a search warrant that led to the discovery of Tousant’s high-capacity drum magazine associated with assault rifles.

Shooting at San Pablo Park leaves 3 injured

At approximately 5:34 p.m., Berkeley Police Department received reports of gunfire at San Pablo Park in South Berkeley. Three male victims were injured, as first reported by Berkeleyside. According to Lt. Peter Hong, two of the victims were critically injured and in the emergency room.
