State Assemblymember Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, and state Senator Loni Hancock, D-Oakland — both of whom represent Berkeley in the state legislature — will visit the campus tonight to talk about budget cuts and their effect on the higher education system.
The forum will address the effects that cuts to state funding will have on the University of California and the ways in which these issues can be addressed by students.
The event — hosted by the ASUC’s Office of External Affairs, Cal Berkeley Democrats and CALPIRG — will take place in the Stephens Lounge in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union building tonight from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
