Man attacked during robbery at People’s Park

A man was the victim of a strong arm robbery Wednesday afternoon in People’s Park, according to police.

At approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday, the 43-year-old man was eating his lunch in the park when six men approached him, asking for money, according to a UCPD crime alert released Thursday. When the victim told the men that he did not have any money, the group of men allegedly kicked and punched the victim repeatedly in the ribs, face, neck and back, and stole his property, according to the alert.

The suspects then left the park, according to the alert.
