SAN FRANCISCO — After losing two starters from its second-place squad last year, the Cal men’s basketball team is picked to finish third in the Pac-12, according to the media poll.
Arizona is projected to win the league title, edging out UCLA by a point, though the Bruins have one more first-place vote. The Bears, with three first-place votes, sit solidly in third place
Stanford, the reigning NIT title winner, is picked to finish fourth. Washington, last year’s Pac-12 regular season champion, has two first-place votes but is in fifth place. The reigning Pac-12 Tournament champion Colorado, the only Pac-12 team to make the NCAA Tournament last year other than Cal, sits in sixth place.
