There’s a lot of love for Bears and a lot of love for Berkeley in all kinds of music, as we’ve shown in a couple of our previous playlists. But there also seems to be a massive and universal love for San Francisco. From what we’ve heard in countless songs, the City by the Bay is universally regarded as a symbol of peace, love and happiness that people frequently leave there heart behind in. It seems like people really don’t have anything negative to say about it! And we agree. We have a lot of pride in SF and so do a bunch of musicians from near and far:

1) Scott McKenzie, “San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers in Your Hair)

2) Foxygen, “San Francisco

3) The Mowgli’s, “San Francisco

4) Jack Kerouac, “San Francisco Scene

5) People Under the Stairs, “San Francisco Knights

6) Gregory Alan Isakov, “San Francisco

7) Brett Dennen, “San Francisco”

8) Eric Clapton, “San Francisco Bay Blues

9) Hello Saferide, “San Francisco

10) Bobby Womack, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco

And, as always, you can feel the San Francisco love right on Spotify!
