Spring has finally sprung here around Berkeley. It’s visible from the pleasant — or perhaps not so pleasant — April showers and the beautiful sunny days soaking up sun on the Glade. And as the old adage goes (well, paraphrased!), spring is the time to clean. For some, it’s literal cleaning. (Hint: if you can’t see the surface of your desk, it’s time. We know the feeling; it’s the end of the semester and you’re probably literally drowning in paperwork.) And for others, it’s a time for soul-cleansing. Spring means that the season blooms into color from the bleak of winter, and similarly, it could be a good idea to cut the negative from your life and live up the vibrant season. Here’s a collection of songs we hope you’ll enjoy that’ll get you through either path of cleansing:
1. Fleet Foxes, “Sun It Rises”
2. Sufjan Stevens, “Come On! Feel the Illinoise!”
3. Animal Collective, “In the Flowers”
5. The Postal Service, “Clark Gable”
6. *NSYNC, “It’s Gonna Be Me” (relevant to this playlist based on a *certain reading* of the song)
7. Blonde Redhead, “Spring and By Summer Fall”
8. Arcade Fire, “Month of May”
9. Say Hi, “Snowcones and Puppies”
10. Passion Pit, “I’ll Be Alright”
As always, you can stream this playlist right on Spotify.
Hang in there this last week of classes, bears; we know you can do it!
