These past few weeks have been full of intense political controversy, from the NSA surveillance leak in the United States to the anti-government riots in Turkey. Given all of the recent  upheaval, we at the Clog thought it would be appropriate to feature tracks with poignant political messages that apply to the issues we are dealing with today, no matter what decade they were made in. Here’s a playlist of seven songs about political strife:

1) Rage Against The Machine, “Bulls on Parade

2) Dead Kennedys, “I Fought the Law

3) Immortal Technique, “Freedom Of Speech

4) Bob Dylan, “The Times, They Are a-Changin'”

5) The Clash, “Police & Thieves

6) Bob Marley, “Redemption Song

7) Sex Pistols, “God Save The Queen

As always, you can check out this playlist on Spotify.
