This week, the Halloween playlist continues with a couple of new songs. Next week, in the third (and final) part of my Halloween party list, I’ll be discussing some favorites, both classics and new releases. Today’s list includes a bunch of songs intended for a party where people will be dancing rather than a kickback. I’ll be keeping it short and sweet today with the descriptions because I plan on representing Daily Cal Arts & Entertainment properly in the DC fantasy basketball league draft.
Lorde – Biting Down (Probcause Remix)

I know, I know. There’s been an awful lot of Lorde on Tunesday lately, but for good reason. This time in particular, her song “Biting Down” gets a remix from Chicago-based rapper Probcause. The sound is undoubtedly trap-influenced, but also incorporates synth in an interesting way.
Hood Internet – Over Your Head (B.o.B. & 2 Chainz x Chromeo)
Last week, I was slightly obsessed with sharing mash-ups with you and this week there’s yet another one I think I should share. “Headband” by B.o.B. & 2 Chainz and “Over Your Shoulder” by Chromeo (a single from their upcoming new album) get mixed in this mash-up to create a funky song that hip-hop enthusiasts should also appreciate.
Donna Summer – Bad Girls (Gigamesh Remix)

TOOT TOOT. HEY. BEEP BEEP. This one’s dedicated to my friend Dana who got the original version of this song stuck in my head recently. Just like Chromeo (as well as Daft Punk’s most recent album) this fits into the electrodisco category.
Kendrick Lamar – M.A.A.D. City (Eprom Remix)
https://soundcloud.com/eprom/kendrick-lamar-m-a-a-d-city
I heard this one in a Vine that still stands as my favorite in a long, long time. I plan on learning that damn dance. Anyway, the song itself isn’t too bad for a party either. Maybe it was more about the Vine than anything though. I did it for the Vine.
W&W & Ummet Ozcan – The Code (Psychic Type Remix)
This is yet another song that made it on the list by being brought to my attention on social media. A video entitled “BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS BEARS” recently went mildly viral on Youtube and this is the song that was used in it. I think I can at least guarantee you’ll like it more than “Chinese Food” by Allison Gold.
Oliver – Night is On My Mind (Dillon Francis Remix)
I’m normally not a fan of “big room” mash-ups. They are generally speaking uninspired and homogeneous. However, I think Dillon Francis’ remix of Oliver’s “Night is On My Mind” is one that works – especially for Halloween. Just make sure you have the right subwoofer for that bass.
As usual, please comment or e-mail me with suggestions or feedback. I will also take songs in my Spotify inbox, just search for Ephraim Lee. I’m always up to listen to what you have to offer, and your recommendations may make it here!
