UCPD responded to three reports of indecent exposure in campus residence halls Wednesday evening.
The first two incidents occurred in the Unit 3 residence hall. About 10:45 p.m., an 18-year-old female UC Berkeley student entered a women’s restroom in the Central Common Building to discover a man hiding inside. When the victim entered a stall, the man came into the open and proceeded to masturbate in the bathroom, according to a UCPD crime alert. The student then fled the restroom.
The second incident occurred about 11:05 p.m. in the same bathroom. The victim was a 21-year-old female UC Berkeley student who was washing her hands when she saw the perpetrator. Once again, the perpetrator had his genitals exposed and was masturbating, according to the crime alert.
The victim fled the bathroom and reported the incident to a resident adviser, who called UCPD.
Less than half an hour later, at 11:28 p.m., UCPD responded to a third report of a man exposing himself to females in the Unit 1 workout room. The victims, who ranged in age from 17 to 19, were working out when they saw a masturbating man at a nearby window, according to the alert.
The man then headed toward the central building’s exit and left the area. Multiple UCPD officers arrived on scene but were unable to locate the man.
According to the UCPD crime alert, the suspect is described as:
A white male in his late 20s or early 30s, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, medium build, short dark hair, an unshaven face, wearing a black zip-up hoodie with black windbreaker type pants.
