Female student sexually assaulted at University Village in Albany

A 22-year-old female student was sexually assaulted at University Village in Albany over the weekend, according to the UCPD Daily Activity Bulletin.

On Sunday, UCPD responded to a local hospital after receiving report of a sexual assault, according to a UCPD crime alert released Monday. The student had been invited to an off-campus bar by a male acquaintance on Saturday. The man then took the student to an apartment in the student housing unit at University Village where he allegedly committed sexual assault.

According to the UCPD crime alert, the suspect is described as:

A 40-year-old Hispanic male, 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds.
