The ASUC Senate is slated to vote on eight bills during its fifth meeting of the semester.
The bills, all of which are on the consent calendar, are:
- SB 14 — A bill in support of increasing early-childhood education accessibility
- SB 15 — A bill in support of the 2007 UC systemwide policy for addressing religious holiday conflicts with residence hall move-in days
- SB 16 — A bill in response to Anti-Semitism in France
- SB 17 — A bill in support of California’s SB 962
- SB 18 — A bill in solidarity with the Asian Pacific Islander communities at UCLA and USC
- SB 19 — Proposed Berkeley minimum wage ordinance
- SB 20 — A bill in support of “A Window into Middle East Diplomacy”
- SB 21 — Budget bill week 4
In addition, the senate is scheduled to introduce nine bills:
- SB 22 — Mental Health Action Plan
- SB 23 — A bill in memorial and scholarship dedicated to the work of Maliq Nixon
- SB 24 — A bill in support of by-law revisions to the Academic Affairs Vice President grants
- SB 25 — A bill in support of the implementation of a Performing Arts Affairs Officer
- SB 26 — A bill in support of a $15 minimum wage at the University of California
- SB 27 — A bill in support of preventing corruption and increasing transparency in Indian politics
- SB 28 — A bill in support of Berkeley’s Anti-Trafficking Coalition’s Freedom in Action conference
- SB 29 — A bill in support of the “Reinvest in Our Future Act”
- SB 30 — Spring 2014 week 5 budget bill
