Rap artist Schoolboy Q is performing and signing autographs at Rasputin Records on Telegraph Avenue. If you purchase his new album, Oxymoron, you will receive a wristband to attend. This is not an oxymoron. Make sure to get there early: Wristband distribution starts at noon, and there is a limited supply.

The Olive Tree Initiative at UC Berkeley will hold an event featuring Palestinian Ambassador to the United States Maen Areikat and Jordanian Deputy Ambassador to the United States Fawaz Bilbeisi. RSVP here for the event on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Two-time national skeeball Joey the Cat will host an evening of drinks and skeeball next Friday.

Piper Kerman, author of “Orange Is The New Black,” will be speaking along with a panel of activists and organizers at Humanist Hall in Oakland on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. The event is put on by Justice Now and the California Coalition for Women Prisoners.
