On Thursday night, the somber silence of dead week turned into utter pandemonium when a mob of naked students burst into Moffitt and Main Stacks.
The semesterly naked run took place at 9 p.m. and drew a crowd of spectators around the entrances and stairwells of the library. Many onlookers screamed and cheered as the students dashed naked through the library. The runners, fueled by sheer nerve and adrenaline, hollered and chanted, “Take off your clothes!” As usual, the commotion gave hardworking students a study break — whether they wanted one or not.
Berkeley’s semesterly Naked Run was posted on YouTube, and we at the Clog wanted to share it with you in case you missed it (or you just want to relive the experience).
Despite its long-standing tradition at UC Berkeley, the naked run always takes students by surprise. To celebrate, we’ve collected some of our favorite Twitter reactions this semester.
