A 20-year-old female, who is not affiliated with the campus, was sexually battered in the Tang Center parking lot Sunday night.

The woman was walking southbound on Oxford Street when she approached Bancroft Way and noticed a man staring at her from a bicycle near the Touchless Gas Station, according to a UCPD crime alert released Monday. As she walked through the Tang Center parking lot around 10:50 p.m., the man advanced toward her on the bicycle and grabbed her chest, police said. The man fled the parking lot when the victim yelled and was not found when UCPD officers searched the area.

According to the crime alert, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, 5-foot-7 in height, with a medium build and full beard, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspect bicycle is described as a black, new-looking fixed-gear bike with black spokes and straight handlebars with horn-like ends.
