Man allegedly brandishes revolver in garage on Piedmont Avenue

A man brandished a revolver during a parking dispute Thursday night on Piedmont Avenue, police said.

A property manager of the apartment complex garage at 2310 Piedmont Ave. contacted three people about their vehicle being illegally parked, according to a UCPD crime alert released Friday. A dispute followed, and around 11:20 p.m., police said, one of the people brandished a revolver. The suspect and the two people with him then allegedly left the garage in their vehicle and drove south on Piedmont Avenue.

BPD and UCPD officers could not locate the suspect or suspect vehicle after searching the area. The property manager, who is unaffiliated with the campus, was not injured.

According to the alert, the suspect vehicle is described as a two-door, black Mercedes. The suspect is described as an approximately 26-year-old Asian man, about 5-foot-5 in height with a muscular build, short hair and mustache, wearing blue jeans and a red short-sleeved shirt.

The two people with him are described as a Hispanic or white male and a nondescript female, according to the alert.
