An 18-year-old, male UC Berkeley student was robbed in his room at Clark Kerr Campus on Sunday morning.
The student answered a knock on his suite’s front door at about 12:15 a.m. to two unknown men, according to a UCPD crime alert released Monday. One of the men asked the student to make a phone call, and, after the student complied, one of the men stepped into the student’s residence and allegedly took his phone. The suspects told the victim they had a gun then fled the scene going west, police said.
The student did not sustain any injuries during the robbery.
UCPD responded at 12:37 a.m. and searched the area but did not locate the suspects.
According to the crime alert, the suspects were described as:
Suspect No. 1: A black male, about 18 to 20 years of age, 6 feet in height, with curly hair and a medium complexion, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans.
Suspect No. 2: A black male, about 18 to 20 years of age, 5-foot-7 in height, with an unshaven face and a dark complexion, wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and baggy jeans.
