Two men allegedly attempted to rob a 26-year-old male, whose affiliation with the campus is unknown, Wednesday night at the intersection of Dana and Parker streets.

According to a UCPD crime alert released Friday, the male was approached by the two men at the intersection at approximately 11:33 p.m. The men demanded his property by threatening to possess a firearm, police said. One of the two men punched the man in the face. Then, the two men fled the scene on foot.

UCPD and the Berkeley Police Department searched the area but were unable to find the two men. The victim declined medical treatment.

The suspects were described as black males in their 20s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 in height, with an average build and wearing dark clothing.
