2 students victims of robbery in Bowles Hall parking lot

Two men were the victims of a robbery early Monday morning in the Bowles Hall parking lot.

At about 12:03 a.m., two UC Berkeley students were in a parking lot with a woman and man they had met the previous evening when the male suspect reportedly began searching through one of the students’ pockets and demanding his property, according to a UCPD crime alert released Monday.

The suspects allegedly took the other victim’s cell phone before leaving the scene in a blue or black late-model minivan. UCPD searched the area but could not locate the suspects or their vehicle, according to the alert. The victims were not physically injured during the altercation.

According to the alert, the suspects are described as:

Suspect No. 1: A Hispanic or white male in his early 30s, about 6-foot-1 in height and 200 pounds, wearing black pants with a white T-shirt and a dark beanie.

Suspect No. 2: A white female about 24 to 25 years old — with long blonde hair, and about 5-foot-10 in height and 120 pounds — wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt with a San Francisco Giants logo on it.
