In honor of Jimmy Fallon’s new Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor, The Tonight Dough, we at the Clog have decided to imagine up some UC Berkeley inspired ice cream flavors. With creativity reaching every corner of our beautiful campus, maybe Ben and Jerry’s will decide to start a university line of ice creams. 😉 But for now, we can grab our favorite pint from the freezer and simply hope that one day these flavors might exist.

Campanile Crumble: Every hour, on the hour, the majestic bells of Sather Tower chime, gracing the entire campus with the knowledge that class is out, without us having to check our phones. To celebrate this landmark of UC Berkeley, grab yourself a pint of Campanile Crumble ice cream – caramel ice cream with fudge chips, fudge swirl and gobs of peanut butter cookie dough.

Telegraph Toffee (Fully Baked): Telegraph isn’t an official part of campus, but this street definitely contributes to our reputation. Essence of Telegraph: Is it skunk, is it weed? The scent of skunk drifting down from North Side and Telegraph’s signature odor combine to create a magical fragrance that you can truly call home in Berkeley. Gobs of toffee chocolate cookie dough and swirls of caramel combine into chocolate hazelnut ice cream to create a flavor that you will never forget.

Wurster Whirlwind: At all hours of the day and night, Wurster Hall is hustling and bustling with students working hard (or trying to fit in a quick nap) in their studios. When the hours of the day and night blur into one, with only the single thought of needing to get projects done, Wurster Whirlwind ice cream will be there to give those HANGRY workers an extra boost. Coffee ice cream, chocolate covered potato chips and chocolate cookie swirl combine to create a treat that’s perfect for any time of day.

Free Speech Munchies Movement: We will fight for the right of salty and sweet to be incorporated into one delicious treat. We will be united as one ice cream. The history of Berkeley in the Civil Right’s Movement is the inspiration for this heavenly treat – peanut butter ice cream with chocolate fudge swirl and chocolate covered pretzels.

UC Berkeley Golden Swirl: Each day, you can see an unlimited number of students proudly wearing their California blue and gold. We can honor our school through many methods, but what better way to do it than with ice cream? The UC Berkeley Golden Swirl is made up of chocolate and vanilla ice creams with chocolate and marshmallow swirls and to top it all off, an ode to our California Golden Bears, Teddy Grahams.
