Woman is victim of robbery in People’s Park

A woman was the victim of a robbery in People’s Park on Wednesday afternoon.

At about 2 p.m., a 54-year-old woman was grabbed by the back of her neck and pushed to the ground by a male suspect, according to a UCPD crime alert released Monday. Another suspect then allegedly reached in the woman’s purse and took her things.

When the woman began to protest, one of the suspects verbally threatened her, the alert said. She suffered minor injuries and was treated the next day at the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.

The suspects are described by the alert as:

Suspect No. 1 — A black man with a mustache, about 25 years old, 6-foot-2 in height and about 180 to 200 pounds.

Suspect No. 2 — A white man with red hair, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet in height and about 180 pounds.
