Update 4/19/15: This article has been updated to reflect additional information from Lt. Jen Louis.

A pedestrian was hit by a car near the intersection of Parker Street and Telegraph Avenue just after midnight Sunday.

Berkeley Police Department received a report of an adult male struck by a car while walking at 12:09 a.m. Sunday morning, according to BPD Lt. Jen Louis.

The pedestrian suffered significant injuries and was transported to Highland Hospital in Oakland, according to Louis. The driver was uninjured.

No arrests were made, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor, Louis said. As of Sunday afternoon, she said, the pedestrian’s injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
