A sales advertisement for well-known city food truck Dojo Dog was posted on a local Craigslist page last week and was flagged for removal Monday.

The food truck, which is located on Bancroft Way and College Avenue, is not for sale, according to an employee of Dojo Dog. When asked if employees of the truck were knowledgeable of the rumor’s origins or had any information about the advertisement, the person replied with: “no comment.”

UC Berkeley student Sherry Xu linked the advertisement to the student Facebook group Free & For Sale on Sunday, pointing out that the food truck was apparently for sale. Adrian Peneyra, an employee of Dojo Dog, commented on the post, saying that he was unaware of the posting and that his boss had not told him the truck was for sale — he has since deleted his comment.

City spokesperson Matthai Chakko said Dojo Dog was reviewed by the city’s Environmental Health Division and passed.
