UCPD investigates reported sexual battery at campus library Tuesday

Campus police are investigating a report of sexual battery that occurred early Tuesday, according to a crime alert released later that morning.

According to the alert, the incident happened in a campus library. A UCPD officer was dispatched to near the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and Addison Street at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday. There, the victim, a 20-year-old woman of unknown affiliation, reported to the officer that the battery had occurred about 10 minutes earlier.

The alert said that no further information was available at the time.
