Person robbed at gunpoint by Unit 2 on Friday night

A person was robbed at gunpoint near Unit 2 on Friday night, according to a UCPD crime alert.

About 8:30 p.m., Berkeley Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery on the north-side sidewalk of Unit 2. The victim, unaffiliated with campus, was allegedly robbed by two male suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun. 

The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

The alert described the suspects as two black males, both of middle-school age. The suspects were last seen running northbound on Bowditch Street toward Unit 1, according to the alert. BPD and UCPD searched the area but could not locate the suspects.
