Quiz: How should you be wasting your break?

Ah, winter break. The perfect time for catching up with friends, frequenting your hometown haunts and enjoying the bustle of the holiday season. Or, more accurately, time to veg out and do absolutely nothing. We at the Clog know that there are many different ways to laze away your winter break. Take this quiz to figure out how exactly you should be wasting your time.

  1. What was your greatest temptation during finals week?
    1. My Netflix account. I should cancel the subscription during finals week, just to save myself time.
    2. My bookshelves — of commercial fiction, not academic books, of course.
    3. My bed. To sleep, perchance to dream . . .
  2. What was the first thing you did when you got back home?
    1. Movie night with my friends!
    2. Caught up with my family, of course.
    3. Slept, thank goodness.
  3. What have you been most looking forward to for break?
    1. The new Star Wars — I’ve been counting down the days.
    2. The holiday activities!
    3. Finally getting to relax after a stressful term.
  4. Were you a TV-and-movie kid or a book kid growing up?
    1. TV shows and movies.
    2. Books.
  5. Your friends at school haven’t seen you for a week. Where are you most likely to be?
    1. Honestly, the couch.
    2. The library, as usual.
    3. I probably haven’t left my room the whole week.
  6. What is one of your biggest guilty food and drink pleasures?
    1. Chips and salsa.
    2. Nonstop tea.
    3. I can’t choose. Dinner?
    1. You should be spending your time with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and more Netflix. It’s time to get rid of all those movies clogging your queue and finally understand pop culture references to shows you haven’t quite caught yet. Yes, Netflix. You’re still watching.
    2. We hope you hit the library, because you’re going to spend the rest of your break curled up with a good book, or ten. Maybe you didn’t have enough time to read during the semester or maybe you just really don’t like socialization, but whatever your reason, you should probably go back to your book now.
    3. Winter time? To you, this means hibernation. You’re going to whittle away the month-long break one nap at a time. Your family has already resigned themselves to only seeing you for meals and hearing your snores the rest of the time.
