The 88th Academy Awards has stirred a lot of controversy due to the lack of diversity in the nominees, which is no shocker. Even on campus, many important people and places go unrecognized. To remedy this, we at the Clog have come up with some categories and nominations of our own to give credit where credit is due. Whether or not someone deserves an Oscar can seem arbitrary, and it’s frustrating when we disagree with the decisions of the Academy but have no power to change their nominations. What we can do, however, is give a shout-out to the little things our school has to offer, because at least we have the power to appreciate them. Without further ado, the UC Berkeley Oscar goes to…
