On March 19, the main suspect in a 2011 sexual assault and robbery case was arrested on a UCPD warrant, according to a campus crime alert.

The suspect, Sheldon Harley Johnson, allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed a female UC Berkeley student near Haviland Grove in April 2011. He was arrested in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Johnson was arrested after new advances on the case were made, the alert stated, which stipulated him as the prime suspect.

He is currently pending extradition back to California.

According to the alert, Johnson is described as a 24-year-old white male with brown hair, blue eyes and several facial tattoos.

The arrest was accomplished through the efforts of UCPD, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, the FBI, the Central Kentucky U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Lexington Police Department.
