2 suspects at large in connection with armed robbery at Grizzly Peak

UCPD is searching for two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that took place Monday at 10:40 p.m. at Signpost 14 on Grizzly Peak, according to a UCPD press release.

The release states that the suspects were both armed with handguns and that they demanded the property of the two male victims of the robbery, a UC Berkeley student and his unaffiliated friend. The victims complied, with one sustaining minor injuries during the incident.

The suspects were described as two hispanic males, both shorter than 6-foot-1 and in their early 20s. One suspect was further described as having a goatee and wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt.

The suspects were last seen driving southbound on Grizzly Peak in a sedan of unknown color. UCPD officers searched the area but did not locate the suspects or their vehicle.

UCPD is asking anyone with information to contact their criminal investigation bureau at (510) 642-0472 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and at (510) 642-6760 at all other times.
