The Berkeley Fire Department responded to a call about 9 a.m. Friday about a fire that broke out at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to BFD Battalion Chief Paul Cavagnaro. Cavagnaro said that by the time firefighters arrived at the house, located at 2728 Channing Way, most of the fire had already been broken down by construction workers across the street.

Cavagnaro added that nobody was injured by the fire, which has since been fully extinguished.
