Berkeley Police Department received reports of a shooting Wednesday night in southwest Berkeley about 6:30 p.m, according to BPD spokesperson Officer Byron White.

Multiple people called BPD reporting that they heard gunshots in the area of San Pablo Park, White said. One reported hearing six to eight gunshots, while another reported hearing 15 to 20.

White said BPD checked surrounding hospitals and nobody had been checked in for gunshot wounds.

When BPD arrived at the area, they found multiple casings from bullets and found a house on the 2900 block of Dohr Street that had been struck by gunfire, according to White. BPD subsequently canvassed the area and talked to surrounding community members who reported hearing a vehicle in the area.

The community members, however, could not provide BPD with a suspect or vehicle description.
