Berkeley Police Department arrested three suspects on suspicion of burglary Saturday, as first reported by Berkeleyside.
According to BPD spokesperson Lt. Andrew Rateaver, BPD officers were alerted to a hot prowl burglary in a hotel room by a 911 call from the victim. Officers responded to the scene about 2:51 p.m., arriving at the Downtown Berkeley Inn located at 2001 Bancroft Way, where they later arrested three suspects.
“The suspects were originally counted as two, but a third was later identified,” Rateaver said in an email. “An extensive area check was done and 3 suspects were located, detained and arrested for Burglary.”
No injuries were reported to have occurred during the area check, according to Rateaver.
Berkeleyside reported that the suspects arrested were Marcos Rohlik, Indigo Nadler and Eddie Collins. According to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office website, Rohlik, 24, Nadler, 23, and Collins, 27, are all being charged with first degree residential burglary and are currently being held in Berkeley Jail.
All three suspects will be arraigned Tuesday at Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse.
