Armed robbery occurs at Cafe Roma in Elmwood

An armed robbery involving three suspects occurred Sunday at Cafe Roma in Elmwood, according to Berkeley Police Department.

Although no one was injured, a brief struggle took place about 8:45 p.m. between some of the robbers and victims before the suspects fled the scene, according to Lt. Joe Okies of BPD.

The first suspect was described as a Black male in his late teens to 20s  with a medium height and slim build, while the second suspect was described as a Black male in his 20s with a medium height and medium build wearing a dark shirt, dark pants and a scarf across his face. The third suspect, who was armed with a hand gun, was described as a Black male in his 20s wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark scarf on his face.

BPD is asking those with information about the incident to call at 510-981-5900.
