An off-duty Berkeley police officer observed a suspicious circumstance Wednesday evening while driving on College Avenue, according to a UCPD Nixle alert.

The alert stated that the officer heard a female scream about 6:50 p.m. The female was reportedly followed by a male. The male — described in the alert as being in his mid-20s — fled southbound on College Avenue and down Parker Street.
