Editors’ note: A Bear’s Place

Isabella Schreiber/Staff

For new UC Berkeley students, finding a practical place to live with acceptable rent, a safe environment and reasonable living space is terrifying, especially if you still haven’t started. You hear numerous horror stories of living in Berkeley — roommates not paying rent on time, neighbors holding parties the night before a midterm, affordable housing just out of your grasp, with homelessness just around the corner.

Living in a typical apartment or in a Greek house might not be the best type of housing for you. It could be in one of the future residences UC Berkeley has planned, or it could be the castle on the hill, right next to the Greek Theater. From commutes to co-ops, sport houses to family houses, there is a bear’s place for you.

P.S. We find it funny that two freshmen are editing the housing issue.
