Singer to play in 20th World Maccabiah Games

Former Cal men’s basketball point guard and recent graduate Sam Singer is set to represent both the United States and the Bears this summer in Israel at the 20th World Maccabiah Games, according to Maccabi USA.

Singer will be one of thousands of Jewish athletes from 80 countries spread across 43 different sports.

Head coach Doug Gottlieb and assistant coach Jacob Rauchbach will lead the Open Men’s Basketball Team.

In his four years at Cal, the 6’4″ was a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention and played the third-most games in school history with 133. Singer averaged 3.5/2.2/2.2 (points, rebounds, assists) on 18.4 minutes per game in his career with the Bears.
