One injured in fire at 1420 Addison St. on Sunday evening

Berkeley Fire Department officers are currently responding to a fire reported Sunday evening at 1420 Addison St., as heard on a police scanner.

The second-alarm Addison Street fire resulted in “one burn victim,” but was under control as of 8:11 p.m., according to a tweet from Berkeley Fire Chief Gil Dong.

BFD received a report about 7:12 p.m. of smoke coming from the top of a two to three-story building at the address, as heard on a police scanner.

Officers shut down southbound traffic on Sacramento Street about 7:27 p.m., as heard on a police scanner.

The American Red Cross is expected to arrive on the scene about 8:25 p.m., as heard on a police scanner.
