A man was allegedly shoved to the ground by two suspects during a robbery that left the victim with non-life threatening injuries late Wednesday evening.

According to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Andrew Frankel, police dispatchers received the victim’s report of a robbery about 11:59 p.m. Wednesday near Allston Way. Two officers stopped and arrested two people who matched the suspect description outside the Downtown Berkeley BART station, recovering the victim’s property.

According to Berkeleyside, the victim had a black eye, a bloody nose and cuts on his face, but did not need to be taken to the hospital.

One of the suspects is Kelin Robinson, who was arrested for robbery and assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, and taken to Santa Rita Jail, according to Frankel. The second suspect is a teen, and was taken to Juvenile Hall for the same charges.
