In the wake of the 17 wildfires in the North Bay, the National Weather Service issued a second red flag warning for North and East Bay Hills.
The warning, which lasts from 5 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Oct. 14, states that these areas may face high fire danger, low humidity and “gusty north and northeast winds.” This update comes after an initial red flag warning that was issued Wednesday.
A red flag warning is the highest level of weather alerts and is issued only for weather events that may result in “extreme fire behavior” within 24 hours, according to the CAL FIRE website.
