As UC Berkeley enters another fall season, and the Homecoming festivities enter full swing, we look back on the history of our school and community to learn more about the adventures of alumni and find inspiration for our own.

Although Cal will face the Arizona Wildcats Saturday amidst a frenzy of campus excitement, the value of Homecoming is also found in our time-honored traditions. From learning about the great lives of alumni, to celebrating in the numerous game-centered festivities or simply appreciating the beauty of our campus, Homecoming connects us to the campus community.

We hope that this issue illustrates our campus’s beauty, in history and in years to come.
