It’s truly a magical time as we fall ever deeper into the holiday season. We the students of UC Berkeley are truly a lucky bunch to be attending the greatest university in the world. Here is our list of things that every Bear should be thankful for.

An abundance of boba

Can you imagine not running into a boba shop on every corner? Neither can we. Boba is the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. It’s a great way to congratulate yourself after an aced midterm, and it’s a great way to console yourself after a failed one. It’s there at the beginning of the day to motivate you when coffee just isn’t enough and it is there at the end of the day to comfort you after a day of classes.

Oski

We will never refute the fact that Oski is creepy. But Oski is undoubtedly the greatest mascot of all time. He is entertaining, he is woke and he is so giving to our community. Not many would be brave enough to support a student body which ridicules him nonstop. Don’t worry Oksi, we appreciate you.

UBMFET

What is the most beautiful contribution that UC Berkeley has contributed to humanity? It’s not the birth of the Free Speech Movement. It is not Earl Warren and it is not Chris Pine in al his dreaminess. It is not even The Daily Californian, nor is it the discovery of Berkelium and Californium (interesting that there is no Stanfordium). It is UC Berkeley Memes for Edgy Teens.

The Clog (us!)

My goodness, where would we be without the Clog? You’re probably procrastinating right now reading this article. We bet you’re having way more fun scouring the blogs for quality content than you would be writing that paper you have due next week.

This Thanksgiving, don’t forget to spare a moment to reflect on the many blessings we have here at UC Berkeley.
