For all the talk of Berkeley being an eco-friendly haven, is it actually doing its part to address climate change?

UC Berkeley labs commit time, energy and federal funding to answering the most important climate questions of the day. City Council members and community members experiment with and argue over innovative ideas to make Berkeley more environmentally conscious. Students are protesting in the city and abroad, fighting for change on the ground.

Today’s issue is committed to Earth Day, the environment, climate change and the politics that surround them, and to exploring every answer to this multifaceted question.
