Berkeley High School history teacher Alex Angell, put on administrative leave after bringing a decommissioned bazooka to class, returned to work Tuesday, as first reported by Berkeleyside.

Angell had been placed on leave April 11, and he is now teaching his classes in “regular standing,” according to Charles Burress, spokesperson for Berkeley school district.

“The investigation into the incident was completed,” Burress said. “Appropriate measures were taken, and he is now back in the classroom.”

Burress could not offer further details, because the topic is a “confidential personnel matter.”
