Today, former five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson announced on social media that he will not be continuing his educational and football careers at Cal.
Robertson, a redshirt sophomore and native of Savannah, Georgia, noted in his online farewell that he would be leaving because of personal matters.
One of the most sought-out receivers in his class, Robertson put up stellar numbers prior to his collegiate campaign, and in his first year with the Bears, he racked up 50 receptions, 767 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Early on in the 2017 season, however, Robertson sustained an injury that left him sidelined for the majority of his true sophomore campaign.
Coming out of high school, Robertson had offers from Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida and Georgia, as well as many more high-caliber football programs — if the receiver is looking to join a program closer to home, he will likely have no issues landing a spot at a top university.
