2 individuals assault man on 2300 block of Oregon Street

Berkeley Police Department issued a Nixle alert at 12:16 p.m. Wednesday about a resident of the 2300 block of Oregon Street who was assaulted by a pair of unknown suspects on July 11.

At 12:43 a.m., the resident called BPD to report a group of intoxicated individuals in front of his home. According to the alert, the resident was attacked by unknown suspects while he was on the phone with police dispatch.

The alert said the resident was seriously injured, but as of press time, he has been treated and released from a local hospital.

The suspects were described as light-skinned males, about 25 to 30 years old, accompanied by an unknown female. They left the scene in a light-colored compact sedan.
