District 7 City Council candidate and UC Berkeley alumnus Rigel Robinson announced Monday that he has been endorsed by Mayor Jesse Arreguín, three City Council members and most of the Rent Stabilization Board.

Along with current District 7 City Councilmember Kriss Worthington, who endorsed Robinson earlier this month, District 8 City Councilmember Lori Droste and District 3 City Councilmember Ben Bartlett also endorsed Robinson. Rent board chair John Selawsky, vice chair Paola Laverde and Commissioners María Poblet, James Chang and Igor Tregub endorsed him as well, according to a press release.

“I’m deeply honored to have received the support of so many community leaders here in Berkeley. Students are stepping up to make their voices heard, and our representatives are listening,” Robinson said in the press release. “I look forward to working together with these change-makers to get real results for the City of Berkeley.”
