Berkeley Police Department arrested a wanted man on the 2800 block of San Pablo Avenue on Saturday afternoon, as first reported by Berkeleyside.
The man, Isaiah Gardea, 25, was spotted by a BPD officer on the corner of San Pablo and Heinz avenues, the article stated. Berkeleyside added that a community member helped point the police in the right direction after Gardea took off on foot.
According to Berkeleyside, Gardea was released in February after serving three years for a felony burglary charge, but was reported to have absconded after failing to check in with his parole officer.
